Looks like
The collared dove belongs to the pigeons, but can be distinguished from the common pigeon by its colours: the collared dove is grey-ochre to brownish and has a characteristic black line on the side of its neck. It is medium-sized (ca. 31-34 cm) and has a relatively thin beak. It feeds on seeds, nuts, etc. Its song is very characteristic, sounding like koo-KOOO-koo.
Where and when to spot it
A widespread bird in cities and villages, where it can be spotted in gardens, parks, fields and on roads. It often sits on trees, wires, poles, TV antennas etc. It builds a very simple nest in trees and occasionally on sills.
