The magpie is a relatively small-bodied bird, but its tail is as long as its body. It has a black body with a white underside, and blue iridescent wings. It feeds on worms, insects and food remnants.
Where and when to spot it
It is a very common bird in cities and countryside alike. It can often be observed sitting on trees or on the ground, feeding on something. It is found in our area all year round.
